Why farm to face?

Before ever mixing up her first face treatment, our founder dove deep into the world of organic and biodynamic farming to better understand the rhythms of nature and her own body.

With lifelong autoimmune issues that manifested throughout her body but especially in her skin (acne, mystery rashes, eczema), she needed to find a solution-- because she understands how painful not feeling confident in your own skin can be.

After spending years learning from the plants and going back to school to become an herbalist, she put all the pieces together-- and created Apis to heal her own skin and be able to help others heal theirs!

What does skin need to thrive?

Our Golden Milk Cleanser is the perfect choice for all skin types-- it's anti-inflammatory, non-stripping, and a true joy to use. Browse the many 5 star reviews for yourself to see why it's one of our top sellers.
Skin needs both water and fat to be its healthiest-- and our small batch farm-distilled seasonally rotated hydrosols used in AlcheMist are the perfect way to deliver potent plant compounds to skin before sealing the moisture in with an oil based serum or balm.
Serums can be both water or oil based, deliver more concentrated plant extracts, but can still be used every day. We offer options here at Apis! Our first is our all time best seller, Flower Sap, and it is a featherlight rosewater based hydration milk that deeply quenches and keeps skin bouncy and calm. Our next is Resin, an oil serum that is packed with anti-inflammatory boswellic acid from whole frankincense resin. Our last is a juicy bright solid serum called Marmal'aide that is packed with antioxidants including vitamin C to brighten and firm.
Finally, it's time to choose the balm-step to lock in all of the active nourishing goodness you've applied and keep delivering more throughout the day ask skin continues to absorb all the plant compounds as they travel through the stratum corneum. Dragon Balm is a rich yet matte-absorbing choice that is great for graceful ageing and pollution defense. Honey Mallow is a juicy, emmollient balm with herb infused raw honey blended in that is a star for eczema, psoriasis, acne, or any condition that is a bit red and itchy-- we also love it as our winter savior.

Really potent hydrosol

Really potent hydrosol. I had a really bad case of poison ivy and used the chamomile hydrosol to decrease redness and inflammation. It worked incredibly well. Within the first day the redness went down by 50%. Within 2 days the redness was completely gone and the skin wasn’t inflamed anymore. When my skin was able to receive salves, I paired the hydrosol with the resin restructuring oil for light coverage. As my skin was able to take heavier salves, I switched to honey mallow to rehydrate the skin (which had scarred dark brown) then moved onto dragon balm and the marmalaide glow up solid serum to reduce the dark scar marks that were forming. Just 1 week of doing this and my skin is almost completely healed and you can barely see any scar marks. I think my skin should be completely cleared up within a a couple days! Thank you for making such potent medicine.
